Safety Training Plus is currently providing full time on site safety supervision for a Corps of Engineer stream reconstruction project in Deleware. While on site STP’s responsibilites include developing activity hazard analysis, conducting weekly tool box talks, providing on site training as needed, scheduling monthly safety meetings and attendance as owner meetings.
The project is a multi phase project with each phase being a section of the stream. Each phase consist of clearing the banks of tree and any debris that may be found along the banks.

A pump must be set up in the stream to divert the water away from the work site, a large filter bag has to be set up to pump the water through to avoid possible contaminants from letting into the stream.

Work is able to take place both widening the stream and reconstruction of the stream bed. Filter cloth is laid down and then rip rap is placed over the top of that.
Structures are added to the banks to assist with water removal from the neighborhoods, the banks are seeded and the diversion systems are removed.

Currently phase 2 is in progress and is nearing completion and phase 3 should be starting shortly.
