Hugh Hynes brings a different background to STP; his background consists of rescue and the medical field. Hugh has spent much of his time as a volunteer fire fighter and working with private ambulance companies.
A large portion of Hugh’s time with STP has been spent performing on site safety representation at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds along side of the Corps of Engineers. STP was partnered with a large general contractor to handle the responsibility for full time, on-site safety supervision. While on the project, Hugh’s responsibilities included on site safety orientation for all new employees and subcontractors to the site, preplanning the safety side of each definable feature of work by working with each subcontractor to compose an activity hazard analysis, Hugh was also responsible for weekly tool box talks and monthly safety meetings.
Hugh is an authorized trainer for first aid/ CPR with the American Safety and Health Institute, the Safety Training Plus employee orientation and Powers Fasteners powder actuated tools. Hugh’s training consists of OSHA 10, OSHA 30; Permit required Confined Spaces, Trench rescue, hazardous materials operations, and emergency medical technician. On his off time Hugh enjoys being a volunteer fire fighter in Harford County and also performing various pyrotechnics all around the MD, DC VA area. |
